KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A University of Tennessee administrator told her boss she was experiencing a hostile work environment in the days before she was fired.
Jenny Wright was fired because the school claimed she refused to cooperate with an investigation into allegations that she had inappropriate relationships with student athletes.
Wright was the director of student judicial affairs at UT.
In an email sent to Vice Chancellor for Student Life Tim Rogers, Wright requested a meeting with Rogers and stated that false accusations had been made against her.
Wright said in the email that she had "been under much emotional and mental stress as a result of the entire situation."
That exchange came one day after Rogers had emailed Chancellor Jimmy Cheek, mentioning a "intolerable situation" and telling Cheek he would retire in June.
