Pigeon Forge and CAK win state titles


Murfreesboro, Tenn. (WATE) - Pigeon Forge came up big in the Class AA championship baseball game on Friday with a 5-3 win over defending champ Goodpasture.

Meantime, CAK scored twice and held off Kingsbury for a second consecutive win in the Class A-AA championship soccer game.

The Tigers were led once again by the strong arm of Wil Crowe, a South Carolina signee who threw 157 pitches and struck out fifteen batters.

It is the first state title for Pigeon Forge.

CAK got goals from Stephen Pardue and Stevie Thompson to win their eighth state soccer title since 2003.

Farragut came up short in their bid to win state titles in baseball and soccer.

The Admirals baseball team lost to Collierville 6-2.

The Admirals soccer team lost to Franklin 3-1.
