NEWPORT (WATE) - A Cocke County crash claimed the lives of two people Monday after two vehicles were involved in a rear-end crash on US 25/70 east of Newport.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol's accident report says Dylan T. Sisk, 6, and Charles O. McMahan, 62, were killed in the wreck.

They were in a car driven by Lisa McMahan, 37, of Parrottsville. She was making a turn from Highway 25/70 to a private drive when her car was rear-ended by a car driven by Willie C. Stokely, 83, of Hartford.

The collision sent McMahan's car into a large tree.

"He was a precious little boy," neighbor Euvena Suggs said about Sisk. "He just loved everybody he seen and he really loved me and he called me 'Mimi' all the time. I just kept thinking, 'Oh my Lord, surely it can't be them.'"

THP says the investigation is continuing and possible charges are pending.
