One of country music's hottest stars returns home, in a big way, as the annual CMA Music Festival kicks off this week.
The always lovable and wildly talented Kellie Pickler, hot off her recent Dancing with the Stars win, is set to open the Grand Old Ole Opry Tuesday night.
The Opry kicks off CMA Music Fest with two star-packed shows featuring performances from Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Lennon & Maisy Stella, Ricky Skaggs, Diamond Rio, and the Opry debut of American Idol finalist Kree Harrison, and more.
However, this is the first time Pickler has performed at her home base since hosting the highly sought after "Mirror Ball".
"It feels good to be home," she said. "Honestly, I'm overwhelmed, but in a good way."
To celebrate her return and win, the Grand Ole Opry is also hosting a welcome home party for the multi-talented star.
Pickeler's dance partner Derrick Hough was at her side for the celebration.
"I thought it was funny when she would say I want to bring back that mirror ball trophy to Tennessee and I was like... but she actually did. It's fantastic," Hough said.
Pickler also took time to answer questions from fans, most of who were eager to know how her friend Summer Miller is doing with her battle with cancer.
"Summer is doing great. She was actually well enough to travel to L.A. to watch the finale of Dancing with the Stars," she said.
