ROGERSVILLE (WATE) - A woman paying a visit to the Hawkins County Jail ended up becoming an inmate herself instead.

Kelly Marie Seal, 24, of Rogersville, arrived at the jail around 10 a.m. Monday to drop off a pair of glasses for an inmate.

Prior to her arrival, the Hawkins County Sheriff's Office received a tip that someone would be bringing in glasses with Suboxone strips in them to give to an inmate.

When Seal arrived at the jail, jail officials searched the glasses and found the strips hidden inside the ear pieces of the glasses.

She was taken into custody and charged with drug possession with the intent to deliver and introduction of a controlled substance into a penal facility.

Seal is currently being held in the Hawkins County Jail under $1,000 bond.

This investigation is still ongoing.
