MARYVILLE (WATE) - A Maryville man was killed Thursday afternoon after an SUV crossed the center lane on a Maryville highway and hit his pickup truck. The driver of the SUV was charged with her third DUI.

Kenneth W. Bollan, 89, was killed around 2 p.m. on U.S. 411 South near Out of Eden Garden Center.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says Tammy B. Murphy, 42, of Alcoa, was driving south in a Toyota 4Runner when she crossed the center line and collided head on with Bollan's Chevrolet S10 pickup truck.

Murphy and a three-year-old child in her SUV were injured. They were taken to UT Medical Center for treatment.

Murphy was charged with driving under the influence, her third such offense. She was also cited for failure to maintain a driving lane and failure to exercise due care.
