KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Two East Tennessee men are the latest to be caught soliciting a prostitute through the website backpage.com.

Gregory Keith Parton, 35, of Sevierville was arrested Friday night around 9 p.m. in a hotel room at the Hampton Inn just off of Merchants Drive.

An investigator with the Knox County Sheriff's Office posed as a prostitute on the escorts section of backpage.com and arranged a meeting with Parton.

Parton then came to the Hampton Inn room and exchanged $200 for two hours of sex.

He was arrested and charged with patronizing prostitution.

Parton is a firefighter and EMT with the City of Sevierville.

City spokesman Bob Stahlke said Tuesday that Parton had been suspended from his position pending an internal review and the final outcome of the charge.

A short time later, Brian Dean Justice, 40, of Andersonville arrived at the same hotel room.

Justice also used backpage.com to set up the meeting.

After exchanging $100 for a half hour of sex, Justice was arrested and charged with patronizing a prostitute.

Justice was a teacher with the Anderson County High School. A school official told 6 News Tuesday that he resigned from the position Monday in light of the arrest.
