KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Two people have been charged in a rash of car break-ins at apartment complexes in Knoxville.

Police said more than 20 vehicles were targeted by the thieves overnight at Country Oaks and West Town Manor apartments.

Officers responded early Tuesday morning and caught the two suspects - 21-year-old Falcon Martin-Laboroe and a 17-year-old whose name is not being released.

Both are now charged with burglary and evading arrest.

Police say the suspects got into most of the vehicles because doors were left unlocked.

Additional charges are expected.
