MANCHESTER (WATE) - Get your tie-dye and patchouli ready. The Bonnaroo music festival opens its gates Wednesday night.
The four-day music festival features performances for a varied group of artists, including everyone from Paul McCartney to R. Kelly to Mumford and Sons.
Gates open at 8 p.m. Wednesday and organizers hope it will alleviate some of the traffic as festival goers pour into Coffee County this week.
State troopers say they are prepared for the big crowds. They will be on the job 24 hours a day starting Wednesday night, patrolling by air and on the ground.
Bonnaroo officially kicks off Thursday and runs through Sunday, June 16.
Schedule information is available on the festival's website.
