Web site created for alleged Pilot rebate scam

DALLAS (WATE) – A Dallas-based legal consultant created a website to reach out to Pilot Flying-J customers who believe they were cheated out of money in an alleged rebate scam.

Federal officials are investigating allegations that the truck-stop giant defrauded trucking companies by cheating them out of rebate money.

Jean Couture, a legal consultant and creator of the web site, says the goal of the web site is to help potential victims identify whether they actually have a case against Pilot Flying-J.

"We're trying to reach out to little companies and medium that need help to figure out what went on.  If they do or do not have a case," said Couture.

Couture is not an attorney.  He told 6 News that he directs clients to a lawyer if they have a legitimate case against Pilot Flying-J.
