KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officers set up a trap Monday afternoon to catch a black bear spotted several times in South Knoxville.

The trap was set at about 1 p.m. near the Maloney Road neighborhood where the bear has been seen during the past several weeks.

The bear officers are trying to catch is the second one spotted recently in Knox County. 

A different bear was tranquilized, trapped, and released Saturday after wandering several neighborhoods starting early Friday.
