KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A West Knoxville restaurant, closed by the state due to failure to pay taxes, is set to reopen Friday night under new management.

Silver Spoon Cafe, 210 Lovell Road, was closed in early April. A sign on the door said the state of Tennessee had seized the business because of a failure to pay state taxes.

Specialty Restaurant Group, based in Maryville, owns the restaurant. The group was founded by former employees of Ruby Tuesday.

The restaurant posted on its Facebook page that a grand reopening will be held Friday night with new management.
