United Way plans fundraiser to unite Knoxville leaders and public

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knoxville citizens have the chance to meet with some of the city's leaders and it's all for a good cause.

The Great Conversation, as the event is called, includes dinner and a seat at the table of a Knoxville leader.

The seats cost $100 and donors can choose which table they'd like to sit at.

The event takes place Thursday, July 18 at 6:30 p.m. at The Southern Depot.

Among the leaders slated to attend are University of Tennessee President Dr. Joe DiPietro and Chancellor Jimmy Cheek, former UT football player Eric Ainge, Mayor Madeline Rogero, and 6 News' own Gene Patterson.

A full list of hosts along with more information on the event can be found on the United Way website.
