People in Knox County say they received robocalls asking about Sen. Campfield

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Some people in Knox County received over ten robocalls Tuesday night asking about State Senator Stacey Campfield.

The message says, "This is Citizen Opinion Research, and we are conducting a quick one question survey about State Sen. Stacey Campfield. Please indicate your response to the question by pressing the corresponding number on your phone. What is your opinion of State Sen. Stacey Campfield?"

The message asks listeners to rate Campfield on a scale of one to five with one being "very favorable," four being "very unfavorable" and five being "no opinion."

6 News talked with both Sen. Campfield and his Republican opponent Dr. Richard Briggs.

Both said they are not responsible for the robocall.

There is no Democratic opponent for the seat.
