KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A line of severe thunderstorms made their way through East Tennessee early Thursday morning, leaving behind some damage.

The heaviest storms moved through between 1:00 a.m. 3:00 a.m. A tornado warning was briefly issued for Claiborne and Hancock counties, but so far there is no word of significant damage.

A number of trees and power lines were down across the East Tennessee area, including in Knox County. Some flooded roadways were also reported.

At the height of the storm, the Knoxville Utilities Board reported nearly 9,000 power outages within its service area.
