Autopsy report released in New Market man who was shot by police

NEW MARKET (WATE) - Officials have released the autopsy report for a New Market man shot in an FBI raid.

The autopsy found that Scott Edward Evans suffered three gunshot wounds, with bullets hitting him in the left side of his body, passing through his neck, arm and chest.

The doctor conducting the autopsy was not able to determine how far away the shots were fired from, but there was no burns on the body from a gun muzzle.

FBI agents came to Evans' home to serve a search warrant back in March.

Federal prosecutors claimed Evans sent and received emails containing child porn as part of an international child porn ring.

Evans father-in-law spoke with 6 News this week.

He doubts the child porn allegations and says the FBI still hasn't answered the family's questions about why it all happened.

The FBI is waiting for the case to go before a review board before releasing more details.
