FARRAGUT (WATE) – A Farragut High School teacher is one of nine finalists for the Tennessee Teacher of the Year Award.

Wanda Lacy started at Farragut High School in 1983. Over the last 30 years, she has helped to start a math academy and now she leads the high school's math department. 

A panel of educators from across the state chose Lacy and the other eight finalists.

The winner will be named this fall and head to the National Teacher of the Year competition.
