Grand jury decides not to indict Pigeon Forge officers over threats

SEVIERVILLE (WATE) - Sevier County's grand jury decided not to charge three former Pigeon Forge police officers who were fired for talking about killing fellow officers.

Trinity Brown, Jeff Thigpen and Michael Musgrove were all fired after cruiser-cam video captured them discussing shooting and killing the force's day shift.

District Attorney General Jimmy Dunn told The Mountain Press newspaper that the evidence had been presented to the grand jury Tuesday, but the panel declined to indict them.

Dunn and the U.S. Attorney's Office also decided not to prosecute.

The three former officers issued a statement last week saying that the comments were merely them blowing off steam.
