Two new lawsuits filed against Pilot Flying J

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Two more lawsuits have been filed against Pilot Flying J in the diesel fuel rebate scandal.

The latest comes from Wright Transportation, a Mobile, Alabama-based company.

The suit claims Wright's discount agreement was reached with a Pilot employee whose home was searched by federal agents.

Also filed this week was a lawsuit from Fred Woodward, a cross-country truck driver from New Hampshire.

Woodward said he used his Pilot driver payback preferred customer card during the period under investigation.

Woodward's suit also seeks class action status.

In April, FBI agents performed raids looking for evidence that customers were cheated out of rebates on large fuel purchases.

Five pilot employees so far have pleaded guilty to federal charges including wire fraud, mail fraud and conspiracy.
