Tip leads to drug arrest in Western Heights

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - An anonymous tip led to an arrest for crack cocaine in the Western Heights area of Knoxville.

A citizen filed a complaint with the Crime and Drug Hotline against Demetrius Eppinger, 30, of Jourolman Avenue.

Knoxville police responded to his home, where they found 8 grams of crack cocaine and $1,625 in cash.

He was arrested and charged with a possession of a schedule II for resale.

He is being held on a $75,000 bond.

Knoxville police encourage citizens to report any illegal activity in their neighborhood.
