Man pulled from Little River dies in hospital

WALLAND (WATE) - The man pulled from the Little River last night has died.

It happened at Perry's Mill on Highway 321 just past Walland.

The Blount County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 25-year-old Bobby Halcomb of Townsend.

A friend had pulled Halcomb from the water and was performing CPR when deputies arrived.

A deputy took over before Halcomb was taken to the hospital.

Last night a TWRA agent told 6 News Halcomb was trying to dive or do a flip into the river.

He got trapped by an undertow, apparently for some time.
