Walland woman killed in crash Sunday morning

BLOUNT (WATE) – A Walland woman died Sunday morning after her truck flipped into a creek, according to the Blount County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities say that Tabitha Houser, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to officials, Houser was traveling northwest on Wildwood Road near the intersection with North Wildwood Road around 10:30 a.m. when her vehicle went off the roadway.

Houser overcorrected, causing the truck to run off the roadway into a field, striking a tree before landing in a creek.

Houser was the only person involved in the crash. Officials say her airbag did deploy and she was wearing a seat belt.

The Blount County Sheriff's Office and the Blount County Fire Department responded to the accident.
