KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A North Knoxville man was taken to the hospital Monday night after he said he was stabbed by his girlfriend.

Police were called to a home in the 2400 block of Brown Avenue around 11:15 p.m.

At the residence, a woman told officers her neighbor showed up at the front door with a stab wound to the right portion of his chest.

The victim, Tommy Nalory, 52, told officers he had been stabbed by his girlfriend, Kimberly Brown, 53, during an argument.

Officers then went to the Nalory's home, where Brown denied any involvement in the stabbing, saying she had been asleep.

Officers noted signs of an apparent struggle inside the home. They also found the knife used in the stabbing.

Nalory was taken to University of Tennessee Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Brown was taken into police custody and charged with aggravated assault.
