OLIVER SPRINGS (WATE) - An intoxicated Oliver Springs woman was arrested by police Monday night after she refused to put clothes on.

Neighbors called police after Crystal Wombles, 35, appeared on her porch completely naked with children in the vicinity.

When police arrived, they found Wombles on the porch with just a t-shirt on, exposing herself below the waist. Officers said she acted intoxicated and smelled of alcohol.

The officers took Wombles inside and asked her to put clothing on multiple times, but she refused.

Police arrested Wombles, who continued to physically resist the officers. She also attempted to bite one of the officers on the arm.

While being arrested, she dropped a small, brown tin with two bags of a green leafy substance, rolling papers and lighters inside.

As officers drove her to jail, Wombles was able to remove her handcuffs and tried to escape by opening a vehicle door.

Once at the Anderson County Detention Facility, the woman had to be physically removed from the police cruiser as she refused to do so on her own.

When removing her, Wombles again tried to bite officers and kick them.

Wombles was charged with public intoxication, drug and paraphernalia possession, resisting arrest, indecent exposure, attempted escape and aggravated assault.
