TEN MILE (WATE) - A Roane County man who had a warrant out for his arrest is now facing new charges after deputies found a meth lab at his home.

Deputies went to Michael D. Muir's home on Harrison Lane in Ten Mile to serve a warrant related to a meth lab.

When they arrived at the home, Muir fled on foot, leaving behind two small children and two others.

Inside the home, they found another active meth lab.

Deputies, along with the Tennessee Meth Task Force, quarantined the home.

The two children were taken into custody by the Department of Children's Services.

Muir was able to escape from deputies.

The two people at the residence - Kristi Price, 40, and John Hughes, 39 - were arrested on outstanding warrants.

Anyone with information about Muir or any other illegal drug activity is asked to call the Roane County Sheriff's Office's Drug Tip Hotline at 865-717-4217 or the Meth Hotline at 877-RID-METH.
