SEVIERVILLE (WATE) - Police are looking for the woman suspected of stealing thousands of dollars from an elderly woman.

Officers say the 83-year-old victim mistakenly left her purse at the checkout counter of the Belk department store in Sevierville.

Once she realized it was missing, she reported her credit cards stolen, but by that time, police say $3,500 had already been charged to her accounts.

The suspect is described as a 20-25 year-old white woman, about 5'7" tall.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sevierville Police at (865) 453-5506.
