8 arrested in Sevier County drug busts


SEVIER COUNTY (WATE) - Eight people are facing drug charges following busts at three Sevier County homes.

According to the Sevier County District Attorney's Office, the three locations were connected to an alleged drug distribution network being investigated by the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force.

Officers found more than eight ounces of cocaine, various pharmaceutical pills, and a small amount of marijuana upon executing a search warrant at a home on the 300 block of Valley Drive in Pigeon Forge.

Rony Joel Zuniga Amador, Zulima Martinez, and Keisha Keen were taken into custody at that address.

A search at an apartment complex on the 1200 block of Pin Oak Drive in Sevierville yielded cocaine packaging materials, along with $1,148 in cash.

Elvin Zuniga and Delmi Nunez were arrested in that search.

Another search on the 200 block of Grey Slate Circle in Sevierville resulted in John Sierra and Jonathan Benitez being arrested after officers found just over 10 grams of cocaine.

Officers with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Sevierville Police Department, Pigeon Forge Police Department, and the Sevier County Sheriff's Office assisted the Fourth Judicial Drug Task Force in the investigation.
