MORRISTOWN (WATE) – Two Morristown burglars took off with a quarter million dollars worth of pills from Fountain Plaza Pharmacy early Sunday morning, according to police.

The pharmacy owner believes the two burglars had probably scoped out the business ahead of time.

They were in and out within three minutes. They managed to take off with thousands of dollars worth of oxycodone, morphine and other pain pills. If a medication wasn't worth something on the street though, they left it behind.

The two men hid their faces from surveillance cameras and drove a white Chrysler 300, according to investigators. A statement released by the pharmacy references a fatal pharmacy robbery in Bean Station in May. It reads "In light of the recent events in Bean Station, we are deeply grateful that this burglary occurred at night and that no one was hurt."

Sunday's robbery came after a massive round-up of pill dealers by Morristown Police on Friday.

The pharmacy owner says these pills were taken out of locked drawers. He says they already have a lot of security measures in place, but he plans to do even more to secure the business.
