Glory Johnson named to WNBA All-Star team


KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knoxville native and former Lady Vol Glory Johnson has been named to the Western Conference team for this weekend's WNBA All-Star game.

Johnson plays for the Tulsa Shock and was named by the twelve league head coaches as a reserve.

Johnson will join former Lady Vols Tamika Catchings (Indiana) and Candace Parker (Los Angeles) who were named to the starting line-ups for Saturday's game.

Johnson ranks third in the WNBA in rebounding (10.2 rpg) and ninth in scoring (16.4 ppg). She is making her first All-Star game appearance.

The WNBA All-Star game will be televised live on ABC and WATE 6 on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
