KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Several road projects will interrupt traffic over the next few days.

A road resurfacing project in northeast Knox County will cause lane closures beginning Monday.

Work will begin at 8 a.m. Monday and end around 4:30 p.m. on the stretch of Tazewell Pike near Gibbs High School.

A week-long bridge project is scheduled to begin Sunday near mile-marker 129 along I-75 in Lake City. The project was postponed a week ago due to the wet weather.

Northbound lane closures will begin Sunday with southbound lanes effected beginning Monday.

In Gatlinburg, Great Smoky Mountains National Park officials will temporarily close the Gatlinburg bypass on Monday.

The maintenance work will start at 10 p.m. Monday. Crews will reduce traffic to one lane at 8:30 p.m. on Newfound Gap Road between Gatlinburg and the Sugarlands Visitor Center.
