PIGEON FORGE (WATE) – Glenn Donly is no stranger to showing off his hand-crafted belts, with a quality he and Dollywood stand behind with a lifetime guarantee.

"This a classic example of what you don't want to buy," said Donly as he showed a popular name-brand belt.

He says those belts are often held together with glue and thread around foam cores, leading to cracking and breaking.

On the other hand, Donly's belts are 100-percent leather. One employee wore a Dollywood belt for more than two decades.

"She brought it back last fall and wanted to know if it was worn out," Donly said. The belt still looked new after being work nearly everyday for 22 years.

Donly wets the tan leather before embossing it and then dyes each belt by hand. Next, the hardware is attached and the belt is ready to be worn. The belts sell for about $30.

You'll find more leather products inside Smoky Creek Leather, including tote bags and hats.
