KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knoxville police are on the lookout for a man suspected of robbing a Knoxville Dollar General store.

The assistant manager reportedly told police a man walked into the store on Sutherland Avenue around 8:30 a.m., brandished a handgun, and demanded money from a safe.

The manager complied, giving the suspect an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect then fled the scene.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, wearing a tan, long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, a red hat, and sunglasses.
