HUNTSVILLE (WATE) – A Scott County woman was jailed on $25,000 bond after she was discovered with drugs at what was supposed to be her jailhouse wedding.

Brita West was at the county jail to marry Willard Tinch, an inmate there. The nuptials were spoiled, however, when she had trouble kissing him. That's when a jailhouse officer noticed her dentures kept falling down.

The officer saw a package under the dentures. After checking, the officer found meth and two suboxone strips in the hidden package.

The Scott County Sheriff's Department says more drugs and drug paraphernalia were found during a search of West's car.

West now faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamines more than .5 grams, possession of a Schedule 3 narcotic, and introducing drugs into a county institution.
