Campbell County commissioners pass budget with no tax increase

JACKSBORO (WATE) – Campbell County commissioners passed a budget Monday with no increase, leaving the tax rate at $1.76.

The Campbell County school budget was part of the county budget approved Monday night.

Last week, the Campbell County Board of Education passed a budget without funding any additional school resource officers.

That decision came after the county commission refused to approve a 5-cent property tax increase to fund additional security officers at all county schools.
