KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A robber made off with cash from a Knoxville bank Tuesday afternoon.

The FBI says a man entered the Home Federal Bank, 1700 Downtown West Boulevard at about 2:50 p.m. and passed a note to a teller demanding cash. The note claimed the man was armed.

The man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money in the direction of Kingston Pike.

Investigators described the robber as a Black male in his early 30s. He weighs about 200 lbs. and is between 5'11" and 6'01". He has a stocky build and facial hair.

At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a white polo-style shirt with a dark t-shirt underneath, and sunglasses.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call the Knoxville FBI office at (865) 544-0751 or the Knoxville Police Department at (865) 215-7212.

A reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
