Jellico City Council tackles budget problem


JELLICO (WATE) - The Jellico City Council tackled the community's budget problems Monday night.

In the first reading of the budget, city council members voted to put the tax rate back to $1.15.

They also voted to hire a city recorder.

Members approved taking a closer look at employee insurance as a possible area to cut.

The second and final reading of the budget will be on Thursday, Aug. 15.
