KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The University of Tennessee is putting the finishing touches on the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center.

The Haslam Family Foundation designated $10 million to the project which began in 2010. The four-floor facility is located on Volunteer Boulevard.

Staff and students say they can't wait to put it to good use.

"We're gonna have adequate and wonderful spaces for all of our performing organizations, our faculty to teach in, small ensemble rooms, everything that we need to be very very effective as a school of music," said Dr. Jeffrey Pappas, director of the UT School of Music.

The building will open to students on August 21.
