NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A woman was arrested for child neglect after she left her baby unattended in a parking lot and passed out in the grass Saturday.

Metro police responded to the 600 block of Brentridge Place after witnesses discovered a one-month-old baby in the parking lot.

Witnesses then discovered the infant's mother, 26-year-old Jennifer Brack, passed out in the grass nearby.

Police said Brack was very intoxicated.

She told police she remembered having one beer, driving to that location, and taking the child out of the car.  She couldn't recall anything afterwards.

According to a police affidavit, the infant was in a car seat, sitting in a very hot parking lot.

The one-month-old was uninjured.

Brack told police she went to the location around 9 p.m.

Police were called to the location around 10:30 p.m.
