A man was shot to death during an armed robbery in north Nashville on Sunday.
The incident was reported just after 6 p.m. at the Church and Son Market at the corner of 15th Avenue North and Cecilia Avenue.
Police said two young men entered the business, one with a knife and the other with a gun.
The suspect with the gun shot Darrell Wright, 50, who died on the scene.
Police reported that Wright was helping out his friend Sunday evening, the owner of the store.
"He just come in and help Junior out, after his other job. He was just a old good friend", said neighbor Patrick Lewis.
The two unidentified suspects fled on foot after the shooting.
"As far as we know this entire robbery happened for a robbery that was less than $10. A tragic event over less than $10," said Metro police spokesperson Kristin Mumford.
Authorities said the suspects may live in the area. They are relying on witness information to find the two men.
They are described as black men in their late teens or early 20s standing at approximately six feet tall. Anyone with information is urged to call Metro police or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
