Man thrown 60 feet from scissor lift


DANDRIDGE (WATE) – Jefferson County dispatchers say a man was thrown 60 feet after his scissor lift flipped off a retaining wall with him on it.

Dispatchers received a call before 11 a.m. Saturday to Riverbend Drive in Dandridge.

A firefighter tells 6 News the man was using the lift to wash windows on the backside of a house. Then, it rolled down a hill, hit a retaining wall, and tipped over.

Life Star took the man to UT Medical Center with serious injuries.
