KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Regen's Ride brought  hundreds of people together Saturday to support a young boy battling cancer.

Since last November, the Sevier County 12-year-old has been battling a rare form of brain cancer called Anaplastic Astrocytoma.

He spent a few months at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis but has been home since April.

The latest benefit for Regen and his family was Saturday.

The special ride kicked off in Sevierville as hundreds of motorcyclists hit the road in honor of Regen.

The ride ended at the Quaker Steak & Lube in Knoxville where there were door prizes and silent auctions.

The local band Dirty Gunnz also performed.

Regen's dad, Dan Morris, said the family is grateful for all the support and prayers from the community.

"We're just humbled, and we're amazed at the support we've seen and continue to see. Week by week, the support just continues," Morris said.
