Head-on crash kills Knoxville man


KNOXVILLE (WATE) – A head-on collision in North Knox County killed a Knoxville man Saturday morning.

At about 8:30 a.m., deputies say Wayne Frazier, 66, was driving southbound on Tazewell Pike when he crossed the center line and crashed head-on into another car driven by 36-year-old Patrick Ruler.

Frazier died from his injuries. Ruler was unharmed.

Deputies do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
