KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Two brewers are teaming up to produce an ale saluting the rivalry between Tennessee and Georgia football.

Knoxville Saw Works Brewing Company and Terrapin Beer of Athens, Ga. are jointly producing a special brew in Knoxville called "The 35th Parallel Ale."

The name references the recent dispute over in which state part of the Tennessee River actually belongs.

Both brewers say the hoppy amber ale will be a win on game day.

"I think it's going to be a lot of fun for Knoxville to have a beer to go along with football weekend," said Dave Ohmer of Knoxville Saw Works. "I think it's going to be a great thing for the Knoxville beer market and I think everyone is going to get the enjoyment and fun we're having with the name."

"We are doing it for fun, so I think whether you're a UT fan or a Dog fan you're going to drink the beer," added Brian Bukowski of Terrapin Beer.

The beer is expected to be released in establishments around Knoxville on October 1.  The Vols take on the Georgia Bulldogs October 5 at Neyland Stadium.
