NASHVILLE (AP) - A man just placed on TBI's list of most-wanted fugitives was captured Wednesday night.
The agency say Howard Montgomery Callaway, 39, was caught in Bradley County.
Callaway fled when a TBI agent tried to arrest him Monday morning for violating his federal probation on a methamphetamine conviction. He was booked into the Bradley County Jail on 32 criminal counts.
Several law enforcement agencies scoured an area where Callaway fled on foot before his arrest.
Callaway and his passenger had abandoned their vehicle and ran into some woods. The passenger was apprehended the following morning, but Callaway remained at large until Wednesday night.
Callaway, of Cleveland, was wanted on charges of aggravated burglary as well as evading arrest and violating federal probation.
Callaway has an arrest history that includes theft, aggravated burglary, domestic assault and drug violations.
