KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A Knoxville man accused of shooting a former police officer and attorney who served time in prison was found guilty Wednesday on all counts.

Douglas England, 41, faces a possible sentence of life with the possibility of parole for the first degree murder of Mike Parker.

Parker was shot in the head at his home on Rifle Range Road in February 2011. He died a few days later.

Parker left the Knoxville Police Department to practice law. He was arrested in 1992 on charges of helping another person rob a Pizza Hut in Halls.

Parker served time in prison and was paroled early.

England was found guilty on eight counts, including felony murder, first degree murder, especially aggravated robbery, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

England will be sentenced on October 3.
