KNOXVILLE (WATE) – The largest Labor Day fireworks show in the country wrapped up Sunday night in Downtown Knoxville.

Thousands upon thousands of families turned out for Boomsday.

People waited all day for the fireworks. Boomsday celebrations drew the Reeds all the way from Charleston, South Carolina.

"We love to come back for it," said the Reeds. "I'm a big fireworks fan and Boomsday is a really great show and we enjoy it."

All afternoon, thousands of people set up. It's a tradition for the Woodalls who say they try to sit in the same spot every year.

"We've been to every one, except two. One when our son was born and one when she had breast cancer," said Gregg Woodall.
