Broncos crush Ravens; Manning 7 TD passes

DENVER (AP) - Peyton Manning tied an NFL record with seven touchdown passes against the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night as the Denver Broncos won their NFL season opener 49-27.

The former Tennessee Vol becomes the sixth player to throw for that many, and the first since Joe Kapp on Sept. 28, 1969.

Manning, a four-time MVP, also tied Brett Favre's NFL record with his 23rd career game with at least four TD throws, and Drew Brees' mark with his seventh career five-TD performance.
