94th Tennessee Valley Fair begins Friday afternoon

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Tennessee Valley Fair gets underway Friday afternoon, officially opening at 3 p.m.

The fair is in its 94th year at Chilhowee Park. It will continue through Sept. 15.

This year's theme is "Fun on the Farm," showcasing agriculture and East Tennessee heritage.

The fair features rides, exhibits, entertainment, competitions and more.

Other headliners include Young MC and Tone Loc, Charlie Daniels, Casey James, Chase Rice, Greg Bates, Southern Drawl Band, Randy Houser and Lee Brice.

More than 140,000 people are expected to attend this year.
