KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A Knoxville man is being held as a suspect in the robbery of a credit union last week on the University of Tennessee campus.

FBI agents and Knoxville police say Kevin L. Brandenburg, 53, walked into the UT Federal Credit Union, 1502 Cumberland Avenue, and placed a package on the counter.

Brandenburg is accused of telling a credit union employee the package was a bomb, and demanding money.

The University Center was evacuated for a time, but the package was later determined to be a hoax.

Brandenburg is being held on a $9000 bond in the Knox County Detention Facility.
