KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Another high-ranking Pilot Flying J executive commented on the ongoing federal investigation into the Knoxville-based truck stop chain's rebate practices in an online question-and-answer session posted online.

When asked whether his life has changed since the investigation began., Vice President of Operations Ken Parent said, "The focus of the investigation has been on rebates for diesel fuel sales, but that's a very small portion of Pilot Flying J. As I oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, my goal and one of my key roles is to make sure that our team members and our core business are not impacted by what is going on. We are 100% focused on doing the right thing for our customers and our team members."

Seven Pilot workers have pleaded guilty to fraud and conspiracy charges since the April raids at the company's headquarters.

Investigators are looking into claims that Pilot cheated trucking companies out of rebates on large diesel purchases.
